1. Havo Mk.I Intruder BJ471/YP-P, of N.23 Squadron, 1941. Rdm 2A overall with Dull Red codes and serials, modified A1 roundels on fuselage with the rough part overpainting of the Yellow, 'Evelyn' in Sky Grey on the nose.
2. Havoc Mk.l lntruder, BJ495/YP-W, of N.23 Squadron, Ford, 1941. Rdm 2A overall, with Dull Red serials and codes. On 23 Apri 1941, Sqdn Ldr B.R. O'B.Hoare DFC, shot down a Focke-Wulf Fw 200 in this aircraft.
3. Havoc Mk.I by squadron leader Berthier Rex O'Brien Hoare from the 23rd Squadron of the Royal Air Force. Ford Air Force Base, spring-summer 1941. On the starboard side of the forward fuselage the aircraft bears an outline drawing of the coat of arms of No. 23 Squadron, Royal Air Force.
4. Havoc Mk.ll Night Fighter, AH523/VY-Z of N.85 Squadron, Hunsdon, July 1941. Rdm 2A overall with Medium Sea Grey codes and Dull Red serial.
5. Havoc Mk.l Turbinlite AW400:A of No. 1454 Air Target Illumination Unit Flight, November 1941. Rdm 2A overall with Dull Red codes and serials. Note white stripe along wing control surfaces, above and below, an aid for night fighters to formate on the Turbinlite aircraft.
6.Havoc Mk.I of Squadron Leader Berthier Rex O'Brien Hoare of No. 23 Squadron RAF. Ford Air Force Base, Autumn 1941. The leader's chevron is painted on the nose at right.
7. Havos Mk.ll Turbinlite, Ah 497/ H of N 536 Squadron ex-1457 Flight, September 1457 Fligt, September 1942. Rdm 2A overall with Dull Red codes and serials, and white formation markers on wing control surfaces. Fuselage roundel converted from A1 to C, while fin flashes remained in the old style. Note anti-icing Lanolin paste along leading edges of fin, elevators and wings.
