Anigrand Craftswork - 1/144 Tupolev Tu-22K Blinder-B. Includes bonus kits of the Mikoyan MiG-9 Fargo, Tupolev Tu-128 Fiddler and Mil Mi-1 Hare. In 1954, the Soviet Council of Ministers issued an ordering the development of a long range supersonic bomber. The Tupolev Okb was put in charge of the development, the Tu-105 configuration was selected. The first Tu-105 prototype made it first flight in 1958. It was proven as an impressive machine. The aircraft factory No.22 was assigned for building the production bomber, so the service designation Tu-22 was given. The first production version Tu-22A was designed as both conventional and nuclear bombs rules condition. In 1959, the Vvs request for a strike bomber with the new developed Kh-22 air-to-ground missile. The missile-carrier version, Tu-22K entered production in 1960. In 1962, the Tu-22K first appeared publicly at the Tushino airshow. It received the reporting name Blinder-B. A total of 311 Blinders of all versions had been built when production ended in 1969. The Tu-22 Blinder remained in Soviet service until the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union. It was phased out slowly in favor of the more capable Tupolev Tu-22M Backfire.
