Volume One Part One covers Fleet Carriers. A fleet carrier is an aircraft carrier designed to operate with the main fleet of a nation's navy. The term was developed during World War II, to distinguish it from the escort carrier and other less capable types. In addition to many medium-sized carriers, supercarriers, as well as some light carriers, are also classed as fleet carriers. Part Two (due out in 2021) will cover Escort Carriers.

Venner F. Milewski, Jr. is a retired U.S. Navy, Surface Warfare qualified, Chief Fire controlman with a 32-year career, specializing in the Tartar Missile System, Aegis SPY-1 Radar and the Aegis Weapons System. He has also worked over 12 years in the shipbuilding industry.
